The idea behind 197 Travel began with a simple belief: travel should feel personal—not simply about where you go, but about how you want to experience the journey.That belief grew from years of traveling and helping others navigate the details along the way. After organizing the travel and experiences for our son’s youth baseball team’s cross-country trip, a mom whose son was guest playing on the team said, “I wish we had someone like you.” It was a simple comment, but it planted a seed. Years of travel—including ten years living in Hawaii—only deepened the belief that meaningful travel looks different for everyone.Years later, that seed grew into 197 Travel—a Travel Design Studio created to make travel feel less overwhelming and more meaningful by designing journeys around the people taking them.
